The ECL language examination is a monolingual language examination system created by an international consortium, the centre of which is located at the Centre for Foreign Languages of the University of Pécs.
All our staff(https://inyk.pte.hu/munkatarsaink/) speak at least two languages.
The experts in language assessment all come from the world of education, former teachers.
The ECL exam can be taken in 15 languages.
The ECL exams in Hungarian and German as a foreign language are internationally accredited.
The ECL exam is a monolingual paper-based exam that measures candidates’ general language proficiency at four levels aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): A2, B1, B2 and C1. The exam questions focus on real-life situations and on the candidates’ communication skills. The ECL exam is a general language exam: it is not age-, gender-, culture-, country- or profession-specific.
